Google launched this service in November 2005 after acquiring Urchin ( It was a Web Statistics Analysis program developed by Urchin Software Coperation ). Then google analytics offered two versions, Google Analytics 360  and  Google Analytics For Mobile Apps. Every business and personal users needs google analytics because, through this site you can knew more information about your website visitors. For instance, 
  • How many people visit your website?
  • Where the visit from?
  •  Which page in your website is more popular?   
  • Which content the visitors like the most?                   

Steps to Connect Blogger Account with Google Analytics

  • Login in to google analytics using the URL - " www.google.com/analytics ".
  • Click sign in button.
  • Sign up with your gmail id.
  • Here, you can see many text fields there you have to give the valid data.

  • Next you have to click on the button " Get Tracking ID ".
  • Then, you will get a notification about " Google Analytics Terms of Service".

  • Make sure you are selecting your country's terms of service and click on " I Accept" Button.
  • Then you will be directed to a page and there you can see Tracking ID and Website Tracking Code.
  • Copy the Tracking ID

  • Take blogger page in a new tab and click on settings in left side.
  • In settings, choose the option 'other ' and you can see Google Analytics Section.
  • Give the Tracking ID in the text box and click on save button.

  • Go to blogger and click on theme in there edit HTML and paste the code inside the Head section.
  • Click save theme.

  • The google tracking code is installed now.
  • Next click on All Website Data in google analytics and choose the website data.
  • Final step is to view the google analytics data. For that, in google analytics click on Real Time.
  • Click on Overview.
  • Finally we can see the real time tracking overview of our website or blog.

Google webmaster tools (GWT) is a set of  tools for the webmasters. It is also known as Google Search Console.The main advantage of this toolset is that, it allows website communication with google. It is a free service to webmasters and here, the google gave a proper guidance to webmasters about google indexing. GWT also helps you to find out any issues or errors within your website and it also recognize the spam issue. While, login to the webmaster tool you can acess many sections like crawl errors, link to your site, keywords, search queries.


Search Queries

In google webmaster tools, Search Queries is the first section. Here, you can check which keywords can be used to attract the visitors to your website. In search queries section CTR has a main role. A higher CTR means the keyword is relevant so, we have to give more importance to keyword.

The second section in google webmaster is links. This site shows where your backlinks come from and to which page they are linking to. Links from poor sites can ruin the ranking.

Google Webmaster Tools or Search Console is a free service that always let you know more information about your website and how many people visit your website. Generally, Google verify the ownership by adding and verifying our blog in Google webmaster tools. 


Verification process can be done through the following steps 


  • First, Create a blog in your Blogger.com account.
  • Then login in to your search console by the link google.com/webmasters/tools/ .  
  • Next we have to copy the URL of your blog with .com extension. If the URL is with .in extension then, change it with .com/ncr and press enter and you get .com extension.  
  • Then go back to the webmaster tool site and paste the URL of your blog ( .com extension) in the box provided and click '' Add Property ''. Now, your blog site is added to search console account.  
  • Next step is to verify your blog. For a blog, the verification method is select the " HTML TAG" and copy the meta tag data given in the box.

  • Then, go to blogger dash board click on theme option and and edit HTML.
  • Paste the copied meta tag data within the < Head Section > ( before < /head> ).

  • Go back to search console and click verify button and we get verification message from google.



How to crawl and Fetch in GWT ?

  • After, verification message then the page will redirect to the dash board section.
  • On the left side you can see Crawl option. Then you can see " Fetch as google " from the list.

  • If you need to Fetch the entire blog then, leave the text box blank or if you don't need to fetch then, enter the URL of the page you needed to be indexed.
  • Click Fetch button.

  • After indexing, click on Request Indexing button.
  • While clicking on request indexing button, you can see two options ; " Crawl only this URL " and " Crawl this URL and direct links ".
  • Select as per need and click the button Go.
  • Waiting for indexing to be completed and you successfully done the process.

             What is On-page Optimization ?


On-page optimization in SEO means, all measures that can be taken directly within the website in order to raise its position in the search engine.

On-page optimization includes both head section and body section. Head section optimization consists of Meta Tags, Meta Description, Internal Linking etc. Body parts includes body tags, images etc.

Snippet shows the preview of google result and it includes Title, Meta Description and URL.

Rich Snippet shows reviews, star rating, price, etc to improve the trust level of a page. Rich snippet is a strong factor in improving the click through rate
 ( CTR  ) and it also helpful in reducing the bounce rate.

Title 


A title tag is a strong part of webpage. The title tag become visible inside the <head> area. 
For example, if you were writing an article titled “The evolution and updates SEO'' you would see the HTML version as,  <title>The evolution and updates ofSEO</title>.




The Do's and Don'ts of writing title tags 




1. Do make sure that, title tag should contain maximum of 60 characters including space. For instance, if we write an title tag with above 70 characters it will likely cutoff or it  shows as a dot on a google SERP.



2. Do put important keywords at the beginning.

3. The title should be unique and should not contain any grammatical errors.


4.The title should be on 512px width.



Meta Description

The meta description is an important factor of  on page optimization. It generally appears below the title and the URL. 

In order to remain visible,


  •  The description should be between 155 - 160 characters.
  • The pixel width be a limit of 1024px.
  • Try to include most important keywords.
  • Make them unique and meaningful.

Robots defines which parts should be crawled by the search engine. Generally, robots is used to restrict the crawling process in a web page. 

Body Section Optimization

Body tags are the another important SEO factor.  The body tags H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, H6 helps to support the overall view of the web page. Body tags have their own place in a page. Generally, H1 tag is used for main heading and it should contain the main keyword. H2 tag is the subheading and it should contain the relevant keywords in accordance with H1 tag.

In content optimization, the contents can be links, images. And it mainly focus on page ranking so, it is an powerful factor in seo. The visible portion of the content is Anchor Text.The hyper link is added to anchor text. While writing a content, starting sentence should contain focusing keywords. And the sentence should be simple that is, up to 20 words.

Keyword Density is the percentage of keywords used in a content. It should be between 2-5%.

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. In simple words ,SEO is a method of changing rank of a web page. All Search Engines such as google, bing, yahoo answers the queries that entered in the search engine and answers them within a few minutes.

Search  Engine works on  three  stages.

The first stage,  Crawling   is performed  by the search engine crawler and through  this  process  the google gives the final result to the website. In this mode ( catching) google takes the snap shot of the data  and in the final stage ,  Indexing the result gets stored in to the data base  ( search engine ).

Amoung them in 2014, panda launched a new version that was to remove the content duplicated websites and it became a permenant filter to the algorithm.

Pirate Updation is a filter introduced in August 2012 and it is designed to prevent the sites with many copyright. According to Digital Millenium Copyright Act, we can register complaints to the google if our website get copyied and the google take necessary action.






The EMD ( Exact Match  Domain ) Update launched in september 2012 and it is introduced to prevent the  poor quality sites because, they had words that match search terms in their domain name.
